Sikidy is Ifa or geomancy, a base 16 computational system of the Malagasy people of Madagascar. In Sikidy, the Babalawo (geomancer) is called Mpisikidy or Ombiasy (diviner) and the sixteen principal Odu are sixteen figures known as volon-tsikidy.

While cowries, palm kernels or kola nuts or shells are used for casting lot in Ifa, tamarind seeds (Tamarindus indica) or fano seeds (Piptadenia chrysostachys) are used for generating the volon-tsikidy.

Each figure has four layers or lines:
1. Loha  (top layer)
2. Tratra (second layer)
3. Vaniaña (third layer)
4. Vity or Tomboko (bottom layer)

The lines in a figure are counted from bottom up or in the order: Vity, Vaniaña, Tratra and Loha. In Adabara, Vity is a single dot, Vaniaña a single dot, Tratra double dot, and Loha a double dot.

A figure is a human in which the four layers are four parts of the human body. Loha is the head, Tratra the chest, Vaniaña the hips, and Vity or Tomboko the foot.

A figure in Sikidy is an Odu in Ifa or a Tableau in geomancy. While an Odu Ifa is represented by double and single lines, the figures in Sikidy are made of single and double dots. 

Double dots are yin (broken) and single dot is yang (unbroken). To convert from Sikidy to binary numbers, 0 is substituted for double dots and 1 for single dot. 

The sixteen figures in Sikidy are the sixteen binary numbers corresponding to the sixteen principal Odu:

When converted from base 2 to base 10, the sixteen figures in Sikidy are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Base 10 is the ten tribes of the northern kingdom of Israel, base 2 is the two tribes of the southern kingdom of Judah, and Sikidy is the twelve tribes of the people of Israel.

The first ten figures are the ten sefirot, and the last six figures are the six wings of the star of David, which means that Sikidy is the United Israelites Kingdom.
