Oturupon (|| || | ||) is the third Odu on the list of the sixteen Odu or Afa-du of Ifa or Vodou (Voodoo). It has double lines in the first, second and fourth positions and a single line in the third position.
Oturupon, like other fifteen Odu, is equal to 4 bits (four binary digits). The double lines and the single line are the binary digits 0 and 1 respectively.
Consequently, || = 0, | = 1, and || || | || is equal to 0010.
The double line is the split side of a cowrie shell, and the single line is the smooth smooth side of the cowrie, which means that Oturupon has the split side of a cowrie in the first, second and fourth positions, and the smooth side in the third position.
