The Salvation of the World

The salvation of the world is the redemption of God's people by the Cornerstone (Jesus) at the Foundation Stone in Jerusalem.
Ye that seek the LORD: Look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged. Look unto Abraham your father. (Isaiah 51:1-2) "KJV"
The rock: the Foundation Stone inside Dome of the Rock

The Foundation Stone (Hebrewאבן השתייה‎ Even ha-Shtiyya or Hebrewסֶּלַע‏‎ Selā‛Arabicصخرة‎ Sakhrah "Rock") is the name of the rock at the centre of the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. It is also known as the Pierced Stone because it has a small hole on the southeastern corner that enters a cavern beneath the rock, known as the Well of Souls. Wikipedia

The rock whence ye are hewn: God's people constitute the Cornerstone cut out of the Foundation Stone

Look unto the rock whence ye are hewn: God's people should look unto the Foundation Stone for answers

The hole: the small hole on the Foundation Stone leading into the Well of Souls

The pit: the Well of Souls or the cavern (the chamber) beneath the rock

The Foundation Stone is Father Abraham; therefore looking unto the Foundation Stone is looking unto the Father.

Abraham = Foundation Stone

Look unto Abraham your father: look unto the Foundation Stone

Salvation is of the Jews, therefore the Jews pray in the direction of the Foundation Stone:

This is the holiest site in Judaism. Jews all over the world pray towards the Foundation Stone. Wikipedia
Muslims and Christians practically turn their backs on the Foundation Stone and Christians look up to the Vatican City. And although the Jews pray facing the direction of the Foundation Stone, they are ignorant of God whose dwelling place is the Foundation Stone.
You have forgotten God your savior: you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. (Isaiah 17:10) "NIV"
The Rock: the Foundation Stone

You have not remembered the Rock, your fortress: God's people have forgotten the Foundation Stone, the source of their strength

Though Muslims, Christians and Jews claim to worship the God of Abraham, they are ignorant of the LORD whose dwelling is the Foundation Stone.

The Roman-Era midrash Tanhuma sums up the centrality of and holiness of this site in Judaism:
As the navel is set in the centre of the human body,
so is the land of Israel the navel of the world...
situated in the centre of the world,
and Jerusalem in the centre of the land of Israel,
and the sanctuary in the centre of Jerusalem,
and the holy place in the centre of the sanctuary,
and the ark in the centre of the holy place,
and the Foundation Stone before the holy place,
because from it the world was founded. Wikipedia

God dwells in the Temple Mount in Jerusalem,
The LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion. (Isaiah 8:18) "NIV"
Zion = Jerusalem

Mount Zion = Temple Mount

The LORD Almighty, who dwells on Mount Zion: God whose dwelling place is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

This means that Dome of the Rock, housing the Foundation Stone, is the sanctuary; the wisdom of God embodied by the Mosque is the sanctuary.

Sanctuary = Holy Place
Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel. (Isaiah 8:13-14) "KJV"
Sanctuary = Dome of the Rock

A stone of stumbling: the cornerstone (Jesus)

The Cornerstone is Isaac (Jesus), and Abraham (the Foundation Stone) gave birth to Isaac like Isaac was cut out of Abraham.

By their ignorance, God's people stumbled upon the cornerstone placed in Zion.

A rock of offence: the Foundation Stone

The Foundation Stone that have been neglected is now the most important of all,
The stone which the builders rejected as worthless turned out to be the most important of all. (Matthew 21:42) "GNT"
The Builders = God's People

God's people were the builders of the Kingdom of God.

The stone which the builders rejected as worthless: the Foundation Stone God's people neglected

Turned out to be the most important of all: the Foundation Stone has become the source of salvation for the whole world

Therefore,
Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed. (Matthew 21:44) "NIV"
Note:

  • You fall on the Foundation Stone
  • The Cornerstone fall on you
Who fall on this stone will be broken to pieces: who falls on the Foundation Stone will be broken to pieces

Anyone on whom it falls will be crushed: anyone on whom the Cornerstone falls will be crushed

God's people stumbled upon the Foundation Stone'
But the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. (Romans 8:31-32) "NIV"
The Muslims thought they could through violence impose the Kingdom of God on the whole word. Christians and Jews thought they could use the instrument of force to bring about the New Jerusalem. They didn't know that no one can have anything except God gives it to him. They didn't wait on God to give them the Kingdom. Therefore they stumbled over the Foundation Stone.

They stumbled over the stumbling stone: Christians, Muslims and Jews stumbled over the Foundation Stone

The Cornerstone (Jesus) fell on Babylon and Babylon was crushed to dust.
A great stone broke loose from a cliff without anyone touching it, struck the iron and clay feet of the statue, and shattered them. At once the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold crumbled and became like the dust on a threshing place in summer. The wind carried it all away, leaving not a trace. But the stone grew to become a mountain that covered the whole earth. (Daniel 2:34-35) "GNT"
A Great Stone = Jesus (the Cornerstone)

The Stone = Cornerstone (Jesus)

Mountain: the Kingdom of God

The kingdom of God is made up of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Mountain that covered the whole earth: the Kingdom of God is covers the whole world through the spread of Islam, Christianity and Judaism to all parts of the earth.
