The Day of the LORD

The destruction of the world

The day of the LORD (the day of God) is the day the chaotic old universe is melted under intense heat and the molten state is molded into a new harmonious universe. This means that the day of God is a day of sudden destruction of the heavens and the earth and creation of a new universe.

The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3:10) "KJV"
The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night: the day of God will come suddenly on the whole world

The heavens: the Churches

In the which the heavens shall pass away: in which the Christian era will expire

Jesus came out of the Church and placed himself under God, signifying the end of the reign of God the Son and the beginning of the reign of the Sovereign LORD. God placed everything under Jesus' rule for two thousand years,
God has put all things in subjection under his feet." (1 Corinthians 15:27) "ESV"

And at the end of the two thousand years reign of God the Son, Jesus came out of the Church and placed everything, including himself, under God's rule,
When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:28) "ESV"
The reign of Jesus (God the Son) ends in the Churches and the reign of the Sovereign LORD begins at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This means that any religion unaffiliated to the Foundation Stone inside Dome of the Rock has no root or foundation. Such religion is destroyed with the destruction of the old universe.

By placing himself under God, the Christians (Christ's subjects) are automatically placed under the authority of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Whoever refuses to recognise the authority of the Foundation Stone is cut off from among God's people. He has no root in the Promised Land.

There were three heavens:

  1. The First Heaven
  2. The Second Heaven
  3. The Third Heaven
These three heavens were melted to form the Blessed Trinity. The Blessed Trinity is the basic unit of God and the building block of the new Jerusalem.

And the elements shall melt with fervent heat: the Church, made up of the three heavens, was melted under intense heat to form the Blessed Trinity

The earth is sustained by the heavens; without the heavens, there will be no earth. Therefore the earth was destroyed by the destruction of the heavens.

The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up: the past two thousand year history of the nations and kingdoms of the earth are burnt up

The three heavens are dissolved by the intense heat of the day of the LORD,
The day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:12) "KJV"

The heavens: the Churches

The heavens being on fire: the Christians are under fire

This means that the Christians are on trial in God's court of Law. They are under scrutiny. And they are being tested by fire.
"For our God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:29) "KJV"
The heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat: Christianity is melted and dissolved by the Word of God

Christianity is being refined like God by the Word of God, and the Christians will not be the same again after the trial.

Christianity is melted with Islam and Judaism and the product is a new harmonious universe where righteousness is at home,
But we wait for what God has promised: new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness will be at home. (2 Peter 3:13) "GNT"
New heavens and new earth: a new universe

The new universe is anchored on the new Jerusalem; and since Abraham (the Foundation Stone) is central to the new Jerusalem, the new universe is about the circumcision of the hear. It is about change of attitudes by Christians, Muslims and Jews. It is about repentance.

The new Jerusalem is not about praying in Mosques or reciting the Quran; it is not about reading from the Torah and taking part in Jewish gatherings; it is not about studying the Bible and attending Church service. It is about showing love to others, irrespective of their religion, ethnicity, race, nation, tribe, or language.

Dwelling in the chaotic life of the Old Jerusalem is death. Circumcising our hearts and repenting of the old way of life is the rising from the dead.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,            (1 Corinthians 15:51) "KJV"
Sleep = Death

But we shall all be changed: God's people will repent and become new people

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.                                 (1 Corinthians 15:52)
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye: suddenly

We shall be changed: we shall become new people in a new harmonious world

We shall be changed: our hearts will be circumcised and we will become new people
