'Jesus is glorified' means Jesus is crowned with glory or the Church is crowned with the ring of light called halo. The explanation of the mystery of the new Jerusalem is the crown of light (crown of wisdom) on Jesus Christ.
Now the Son of Man is glorified and God is glorified in him. (John 13:31) "NIV"

The new Jerusalem is simplified as the halo so that halo is glorification; it is the aura of divine power and majesty; it is the kingship - the crown on all the works of God.
In his dissertation "Concerning the End for which God Created the World", Jonathan Edwards concludes, "[I]t appears that all that is ever spoken of in the Scripture as an ultimate end of God's works is included in that one phrase, 'the glory of God'." Wikipedia

Glorification is the crowning or the coronation of God's people, and the crown is the halo surrounding the heads of the people of the Supreme God. Saint Paul described the halo as the victory prize, and the means by which all God's people are put right (or united) with God. He said,
And now there is waiting for me the victory prize of being put right with God, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day. (2 Timothy 4:8) "GNT"
Victory Prize = the Crown of Glory

God's plan was for his people to reign as kings here on earth. But God's people were not reigning because they didn't know and did not understand the meaning of the crown which God has already given them. A king who doesn't know his crown could end up becoming the slave of those who should be his subjects.

The fact that the Saints are canonised after they have died proves clearly that the people of God have the crown (the halo) but do not understand that they should be reigning in life. Saints like Saint Augustine, Saint Francis, and Saint Thomas Aquinas never had the crown on their heads while they were alive. They never enjoyed what it means to be a divine king reigning in life. They didn't gain the recognition they deserve while they were still living.

God's plan was for us to gain recognition here on earth and enjoy all the benefits that come with it while we are still living. Jesus came into the world to make it possible for us to live as kings while on earth.

If Jesus came into the world for us to live in squalor in life and as kings in death then Jesus came into the world for nothing. We were not destined to suffer. The suffering we experienced was for the temporary period God was preparing our permanent enjoyment. God was creating a kingdom for us, and we suffered as foreigners or aliens in the kingdom of the earth while we were waiting patiently for God to complete the creation of our permanent home.
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; (Hebrew 2:9) "KJV"
Crowned with glory and honour: glorified

What God was creating for his people was the crown called halo; the manifestation of the halo on the head of every child of God is the appearing of the glory of God on him and the beginning of his reign as king here on earth. The appearing or manifestation of the halo (the crown) on our heads is what we have been patiently and hopefully waiting for.
As we wait for the blessed Day we hope for, when the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ will appear. (Titus 2:13) "GNT"

God's plan for the world is summarised in Daniel 7:17-18. The plan is divided into a temporary reign of earthly kingdom in Daniel 7:17 and a permanent reign of heavenly kingdom in Daniel 7:18. God's people endured patiently under the temporary earthly kingdom until the manifestation of the permanent heavenly kingdom.

The reign of the temporary earthly kingdom was described as the reign of the beast:
These four huge beasts are four empires which will arise on earth. (Daniel 7:17) "GNT"

And the subsequent permanent reign of the Kingdom of Heaven is described as follows:
And the people of the Supreme God will receive royal power and keep it forever and ever. (Daniel 7:18)

Royal Power = Crown (Halo)
                      = Glory

Supreme God = Jesus
